New rims for the Mazda 3

Just installed new rims on the Mazda 3. My summer tires died last fall and I needed a new set this spring. I decided to upsize the wheel diameter from 16″ to 18″ in the process.

Last weekend was just awesome in South Ontario: sunny and above 20 degrees celsius. I cleaned the car, rubbed a clay bar on the body and applied a new coat of wax. Ready for summer!

While the car was clean, I drove around for an hour to find a few spots to take pictures of the result. I think it turned out pretty nice. See the pics below.

For the fellow mazda 3 owners, here is the fitment information:

  Wheel:         Falken Torque 5
  Finish:  Gunmetal finish with machined lip
  Size:  18″x7″
  Offset:  +42 mm
  Tires:  Falken FK 452 in 215 / 40 R18
   Suspension:       Original
