Graham

For MAC, it seems that the following applications could be useful to you (?):

- HoudagGPS: http://www.houdah.com/houdahGPS/
 This would let you convert tracklogs from the AGL3080 to the KML format, which both Google Maps and Google earth can use to see your maps; It is basically a user interface for GPSBabel mentionned above;

- Houdah GEO: http://www.houdah.com/houdahGeo/index.html
 To specifically geotag pictures.

Good luck!

Hi Graham

I have not yet tried to geotag pictures (I am on a business trip right now), but I am looking to other softwares than JET also since I need to geotagg Canon RAW files. I was considering trying the 2 following options:

gpicsync - http://code.google.com/p/gpicsync/

and

Geosetter (Windows only) - http://www.geosetter.de/en/index.html

If the tools you find cannot read the NMEA file format, you can convert the files using a tool like GPSBABEL ( http://www.gpsbabel.org/download.html ) : Just avoid the current v 1.3.5 release since it has a bug writing back NMEA files. Use the 1.3.6 Beta or newer.

To trace your route, I have tried and successfully used:

GPS Vizualizer: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map_input
and
Everytrail: http://www.everytrail.com/

Here is a GPStracklog I have done rollerblading: http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=47137

I have the Amod and find that it works well with my Mac - I have recently been travelling across Europe by road and rail and used it on selected day trips out. Even on 3 weeks of use, it still had memory left. It was set on the 5 second interval .
My only hitch is with the programme that comes with the device, 'Jetphoto' is not straightforward to use - if anybody has a much simpler programme I would be grateful, as with this, the date/time cannot be added. the only thing that appears on Google Earth is the route taken - I note too - that if there are no photographs, the route alone cannot be displayed.
Is it me! or what? - Help
