For the last 17 days, we have kept our friend’s dog named “Trails”. He’s a brittany spaniel and he is adorable. If only he did not pull so much when walking! We worked on that small issue for the last 2 weeks and he is better now, but it’s hard to be effective when walking 2 dogs at the same time.

Other than that, it went really well. Both dogs are behaving nicely together. They are playing a lot. The bed gets crowded in the morning though..

Our friends are about to get back in town and yesterday evening I decided to break out the flashes and umbrellas and try to snap a portrait or 2 with the help of Corinne. We only did a few ones with a single setup because it was quite late already when we got to it.

Trails was cooperating pretty well: that dog would do anything for a piece of food. Not so much luck with the poor Newton. He was simply terrorized by the umbrella I use to diffuse light. Can you tell? hehe!

We brought Newton to the park Sunday morning to play fetch. He loves running after the ball. Took some action shots of him running at full throttle. Here are a few pictures.

It’s been a while since I brought the camera to one of our (many) walks with Newton. Today was the perfect day to do so. The sun was out and it was a very nice day.

Here are a few snapshots of my 2 loves :)

There was some kind of dog day at the park with agility demonstrations. One of the poor pooch was tinted in pink. Quite funny actually!

While I had to camera and the flash setup out to photograph the trophy, Newton fell asleep right beside me. I used the same lighting setup (a snoot on an off-camera flash to concentrate the light in a specific spot) to catch him in his sleep. Who would believe that sometimes he still is a little devil???

After the Leamington Triathlon race, our friends Tracy and Craig came home for a swim, with their dog Trails. Since we installed a stairway in the pool, Newton is crazy about swimming. He actually bugs us all the time to go in. He does not even need a toy. He’ll go in just for a swim by himself.

Here are a few pictures of that day.
